• Bonding

  • Bonding can be a good treatment option for you if you want a fast, easy, and painless way to cover chipped or stained teeth, gaps between your teeth, and other minor imperfections.

Prosthodontics & Implant Dental Center offers bonding treatments that can be done in just one appointment. We have been bonding teeth in Merced, Winton, Atwater, Cressey, and nearby communities for over 10 years.

    What is bonding?

Bonding uses certain tooth-like materials to bond the exterior of your tooth. We mix different colored resin materials to perfectly match the rest of your teeth. After we place the resin material on your tooth, we carefully shape it then use a chemical or light process to harden it.

Why should I have my tooth bonded?

If you have a cavity or a chip in your tooth, bonding fills your tooth to restore it to its full function. We also use bonding to mask stains on your teeth. Bonding not only improves the look of your smile but protects your teeth from decay and other dental issues that can happen when a tooth remains exposed.

Prosthodontics & Implant Dental Center had been bonding teeth and enhancing smiles in Merced, Winton, Atwater, Cressey, and other surrounding neighborhoods for over 10 years.

How do I take care of a bonded tooth?

To maintain the look and health of your bonded tooth, you can stick to your normal oral hygiene routine, but make sure to give your bonded tooth extra attention.

    Regular Checkups

The bonding we use is strong and secure, however, you should still schedule regular checkups with our team. We want to make sure the treatment option you choose is continuing to serve its purpose. Since weak teeth can jeopardize the health of your mouth, it is important we see you regularly to make sure your bonded tooth is functioning properly and there are no warning signs of any other issues.

    Oral Hygiene

It is important to the health of your bonded tooth, your entire mouth, and your overall health to practice good oral hygiene. Brush twice a day with ADA approved toothpaste and floss at least once.

    Diet

Try to maintain a balanced diet and stay away from foods that can potentially discolor or harm your bonded tooth.
